YOUNG BUSINESS MAN OF MILAN,
DIED OF CONSUMPTION MONDAY AFTERNOON
Milan, March 17. Chas. Altus Parsons, druggist, died of consumption yesterday evening about 4 o'clock. He was a son of Dr. Geo. E. Parsons, deceased, a prominent physician of southern Indiana.
A few years ago Charles concluded to study medicine but was compelled to give it up on account of failing health. About two years ago he made an extended trip through the South in hopes of regaining his health, but disease had taken a firm hold upon him and h returned to Milan without finding relief, and later opened up a drug store. Although he has been rapidly declining for months, he suffered patiently and attended to his duties until a little over a week ago, when his condition became alarming and confined him to his bed.
Deceased was born Jan. 4, 1878, and was married at Delaware, Ind., Dec. 10, 1901, to Miss Frances B. Niebrugge, of Dillsboro. Besides his wife there survives him a brother, Harry M. Parsons, an employee of the Illinois Central railroad at Memphis, Tenn., and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Knowlton, of Delaware.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday by Rev. McDowell at the M.E. Church of which Mr. Parsons was a member. Interment in the cemetery at Dillsboro.
