Robert “Bob” Callahan, 64, of Gothenburg, was born December 14, 1937 near Maxwell, Nebraska, the first of six children, to Willis “Bill” and Ruth Lind Callahan. He graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Army from November 19, 1959 to February 9, 1962. Bob married Nancy Yeutter on February 14, 1965 in Cozad. He worked as a farm and ranch hand in the Gothenburg and Oconto areas. They have lived southwest of Gothenburg for the past ten years. He was baptized in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and served as an elder. He was a past member of the Oconto Lions Club.

Survivors: Wife: Nancy Ann; two daughters: Ada Darlene (David) Peckham of Callaway and Candace Valerie Callahan of Lincoln; one son: Shane (Connie) Callahan of Juniata; three grandchildren: Shawn Peckham, Chase Callahan and Tony Villavicencio; his mother and step father: Ruth (Vernon) Callahan of Brady; two sisters: Rosie (Cecil) Baker of Ruskin, Chris (Lynn) Barnes of Cozad; three brothers: Larry Callahan of Cozad, Willis (Onna) Callahan of Hays, Kansas and Doug (Marlene) Callahan of Cozad.

He was preceded in death by his father Bill Callahan.
