Mr and Mrs Heber Hanks tok their little daughter, Jane to Salt Lake to consult with Dr Osborn, the baby specialist, and it was found necessary to remove her tonsils, which was done.
Mr Hanks returned Tuesday morning from the city and stated she was recovering nicely and that Mrs Hanks and little Jane expected to return home the last of this week.

According to the Sierra Madre (California) News of August 28, Miss Kathryn Jane Hanks, of Los Angeles has been elected a member of the grammar school teaching staff at that place.
Miss Hanks is the daughter of Mrs Molly F and the late Heber T Hanks, former residents and hotel people of Milford.
Miss Hanks received her degree from UCLA and has also taken graduate work there. She has a music major, has also appeared as piano soloist with the UCLA symphony orchestra and plays the violin and trumpet. She has also specialized in dramatic art. Miss Hanks has served a vice president of Phi Beta, the national music honorary society, and is an Alpha Delta Gamma.
At the grammar school she will teach the 7A class, 7th and 8th grade girls glee club, and will direct the school orchestra and band.

The News and other local friends of the family last week received announcements of the marriage of Kathryn Jane Hanks and Alan George Niethamer. The marriage took place July 22 at Shatto chapel, First Congregational church, Los Angeles, California. The bride is the daughter of Mrs Heber Thomas Hanks of Los Angeles and the late Hebert Hanks. The Hanks family is widely known in Milford, having lived here several years ago and visited here frequently since locating in Los Angeles, where they have choice apartment house holdings.
Mrs Hanks was a former owner and operator of the Hotel Milford. Mrs Niethamer is a beautiful and accomplished musician and many friends in Milford join in wishing her well.
