By 1860 they had established their family in Lisbon, Iowa, where they were living with children John Hamilton, Jacob L., and Mina Viola (#19216505). James was a Blacksmith and wagon builder, as were others in his family. In 1862, they had another son, Charles. The family are listed again in Lisbon in the 1870 Census, but in 1873, James died at age 47.
