Frank was born to, Frank and Elizabeth ( Thomas ) Brown and raised in Denver, Colorado. He went to South High School, then served in the Navy during World War II and back to school at Denver University.
He married, had four children and managed Zimmerman Greenhouses in Denver.
In 1962 he moved his family to a farm in Littleton, Colorado and built his own greenhouses where he grew carnations.
He was a member of Park Elitch Growers Association.
