1937 graduate of Clemson College, South Carolina; a male-only military school at the time, Clemson sent the third-most number of officers to WWII after West Point and Texas A&M.
Captain US Army, World War II. An expert marksman, Robert won a multinational rifle competition in Egypt and was awarded a silver cup by King Farouk, himself.
Retired from Army Reserves as Lt Colonel.
