Son of Giuseppe Maria Buonaparte and Maria Saviera Paravicini.
In 1771 he was appointed Counsellor and Assessor of the Town and Province of Ajaccio
Untill 1951 he was buried in the Church of Saint-Gilles in Saint Leu-la-Foret, build by order of his grandson, the Emperor Napoleon III. Having rested there for almost a century, his remains were transported to the new 'Chapelle imperiale' in Ajaccio.
On the photographs his (now empty) tomb in Saint Leu-la-Foret.
