Mrs. Sadie M. Ketchum, DeSoto, entered into rest on September 15, 2009 at Hillcrest Nursing Center at the age of 91 years, 3 months and 16 days. Born May 30, 1918 in Blackwell, Missouri; she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Minnie (Courtway) Sansoucie. She was preceded in death by her husbands, David F. Ketchum and Delmer Johnson.

She is survived by a son, David A. Ketchum, Frumet, Missouri and a daughter, Linda Boyer, Frumet, Missouri; a brother, Willis (Betty) Sansoucie, Festus; and a sister, Dora Backer, Arnold; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her loving family at Hillcrest.

Mrs. Ketchum was preceded in death by her daughter, Juanita DeClue, three brothers: Johnnie Sansoucie, Ernest Sansoucie and Christ Sansoucie; one sister, Rose Smith; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Ketchum, a son-in-law, Jerry Boyer and a brother-in-law, Paul Backer.

Mrs. Ketchum was a homemaker, a member of Citizens for Better Government and a 4 H Club. She enjoyed cooking and socializing.
Rev. Jim Owens will be officiating the funeral service.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Saturday, September 19, at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto with a funeral service on Sunday, September 20, at 10 a.m., Rev. Jim Owens officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in De Soto.
