Absalom Froman was son of Jacob Froman Sr and his wife Barbara. He married Eleanor "Nelly" Lluellen Briscoe April 15, 1806 in Nelson County, Kentucky. He had two son, Wesley Perry Froman born 1815 and Jeremiah V Froman born 1818. In 1957 the U.S. Army acquired 5,500 acres in Bullitt County at the north edge of Fort Knox, which included the Froman cemetery. Absalom body was moved and reburied in the present Mt. Eden Cemetery that the U.S. Government bought and dedicated on May 25, 1958.
