Wife of Verner Clive Glenn. Born in Nappersdorf, Austria, she immigrated to the United States in 1908 at the age of ten, and grew up in Kansas, where she completed high school and became a school teacher. She married Verner Clive Glenn in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 12, 1920. They would have three children: Jack Harold Glenn, Helen, and Ruth. In 1931, the family moved to Bay City, Texas, where they spent the rest of their lives. As a homemaker, she was active in the First United Methodist Church and taught in the Children's Department for 37 years. She was also involved in the American Legion Auxiliary (her husband was a veteran of the US Navy in World War I), and was a member of the Gold Star Mothers. She also worked as a Pink Lady in Matagorda General Hospital, where she had over 6000 volunteer hours to her credit. In 1978, she was chosen Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year by the Matagorda County Extension Service. She was visiting her daughter, Mrs James Lovett (Ruth) at their home in Vienna, Austria, when she died following surgery there. Her other daughter, Helen, married O. F. Foreman of Anchorage, Alaska. She was buried at Arlington National Cemetery next to her husband, Verner Clive Glenn, who died in 1959. There is no marker for her grave. Her husband, who was a veteran, has a marker for him.
