After her husband's death, Emily went to live with her daughter Martha Hunter at Broken Bow, Custer County Nebraska, where she died, at age 91.

Mrs. Emily Beck, who lived at Walshville until a few years ago, when she went to Broken Bow Nebraska, to make her home, died there Monday night, the remains were brought to Walshville and the funeral services will take place Friday Morning, interment being made in the Presbyterian Cemetery 5 miles Southeast of Walshville, the deceased was born on a farm near Walshville almost ninety years ago, she was married to Moses Beck who died twelve years ago, she is survived by the following children, Miss Mary Beck and Mrs. Martha Hunter, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, Mrs. Ella Walton of Nakomis, Illinois, B. F. and D. M. Beck, of Litchfield, and Mrs. Mary Missimore, of Comanche Oklahoma, and Mrs. Julia Cox, of Little Rock Arkansas.
