Paul A. Dale Rites held

Funeral services were held Monday morning from Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for Paul A. Dale, 75, who died suddenly Saturday afternoon at his home. Dr. Wyatt Hunter and Rev. W. D. Pigott officiated and interment followed in the Prentiss Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge.

Members of the Men's Sunday School Class of Prentiss Baptist Church served as Honorary Pallbearers.

Nephews who served as active pallbearers were John S. Dale, Joe Dale, Dr. David Dale, Jimmie Dale, Doug Dale, Mat Dale, B. G. Walden, Jr., Roody Walden, Sonny Gulledge, Jerry Gulledge, and Dr. Richard Johnson.

Mr. Dale was a native and lifelong resident of the Prentiss area. He was the son of the late S. S. and Amanda Williams Dale. He had farmed, formerly operated a mercantile business and in recent years had been employed by Mississippi Federated Coop at their cotton warehouse. He had been in failing health for several months but his death was sudden and unexpected. He was a member of the Prentiss Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Bess Sumrall Dale; one son, Harold Dale of Orlando, Fla.; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. B. G. Walden of Prentiss; Mrs. Wood Polk, Mrs. H. R. Johnson both of Columbia; Mrs. Erwin Gulledge of Crystal Springs and a large number of nieces and nephews.
