HETTIE BERTRAM KASISKE
---Hettie Bertram Kasiske, daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Bertram, was born near Memphis, Missouri June 26, 1880. She died July 10, 1943 at the age of sixty-three years and fourteen days.
---She was united in marriage to Louis William Kasiske October 8, 1902. Five children were born to this union: Pearl and Bessie of the home, Mrs. Waldo Cull of La Plata, Walter B. of Covington, Kentucky and Mae Louise who preceded her June 6, 1933.
---She lived all her life in Scotland County with the exception of the last six months when they left their farm and moved to La Plata.
---She joined the Etna Methodist Church at an early age and was a faithful and active member all her life, teaching a Sunday School Class, playing the organ and helping in every possible way. She, with the other members of her family, moved her membership to the La Plata Methodist Church in March.
---She leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted husband, Louis Kasiske, the four children, Pearl, Grace, Bessie and Walter B.; one son-in-law, Waldo Cull, one grandson, Roland Cull; three sisters, Mrs. D. M. Fortney and Mrs. Carrie Walker of Memphis, Missouri and Mrs. E. W. Kraus of Gorin, Missouri; three brothers, Elmer Bertram and Ed Bertram of Memphis, Missouri and Dr. Irwin Bertram of Denver, Colorado and a host of other relatives and friends.
---Funeral services, conducted by H. R. Kasiske, D.D., of Warsaw, Illinois, were held at the Etna Methodist Church Monday, July 12, 1943, at 2:00. The music was furnished by Rev. Ethington, accompanied by Mrs. Elmer Gunn at the piano. The body bearers were Misters: O.C. Mohr, E.L. Mohr, Rudolph Disterich, Marion Erickson, Jay Bally and Ben Priebe.
---The body was laid to rest in the Etna cemetery beside her daughter Mae.
