Margaret Clark, daughter of Thomas and Magdalene Kershner, was born April 18, 1825. She married in her youth Orlando B. Lafong. To this union was born one son, W. H. Lafong. She lived a grass widow for about 9 years. She then married Jeremiah W. Clark on November 4. To this union was born 2 sons and 2 daughters, the latter are still living. Mr. Clark was a soldier of the rebellion, being wounded in battle on July 19, 1864, from which wounds he died September 19, 1864, leaving Mrs. Clark a widow with 4 children whom she lived to see grown up. She died September 11, 1903, aged 78 years, 4 months and 25 days. She leaves one son, 2 daughters, one brother, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral was held at the Christian Church Sunday. Democrat 9-17-1903
