Mr. Robert O. Newville, and old resident of this place departed this life about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday evening Last.
Mr. Newville was born in the Township of Day Saratoga, NY April 22, 1811. He would therefore have been 84 years old next April. He was married at the age of 22 to Miss Sarah Gifford, who still survives him. The following year he moved with his wife to Livingstone County, NY and remained in that vicinity until 23 years ago, when he came west and has lived in Michigan since that time. He came to Boyne City 13 years ago. He became a member of the Baptist Church when he was 33 years of age and since been a member of that church. He lieaves a wife and five sons, four of whom live in this county. The funeral ws held on Sunday at the M.E. Church, Rev L. Aler officiating.
