Peter Paul Chiniche, 56, Hancock County justice of the peace for beat 5, and a native and life - long resident of Bay St. Louis, died Friday at 9:45 p.m. at the Hancock General Hospital in Bay St. Louis where he had been a patient for two weeks.

Mr. Chiniche elected to the justice of the peace post last fall, began his four - year term Jan. 6.

Born April 14, 1907, in Bay St. Louis, Mr. Chiniche resided on Old Spanish Trail. He was a carpenter by trade, a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Cathlic Church, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society and Immaculate Conception Society........

Mr. Chiniche is survived by his widow, Mrs. Josephine Compretta Chiniche, Bay St. Louis; three sons, A. J. Chiniche, Chalmette, La., James and Raymond Chiniche, Bay St. Louis; one daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Stimmel, Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, Joe Chiniche, Bay St. Louis; Sylvester Chiniche, Biloxi; and Frank Chiniche, Pass Christian; one step - brother, Sylvester Guagliardo, Picayune; four sisters, Mrs. Josephine Giametto, Mrs. Frances Compretta, Mrs. Beatrice Austin, Bay St. Louis; Mrs. Mary Ruspoli, Pass Christian; three stepsisters, Miss Lucy Guagliardo, Mrs. Josephine Michael, Bay St. Louis: and Mrs. Jennie Kolberger, Gulfport.
