ULYSSES S. BEANS
ULYSSES S. Beans, a retired coal miner, died today in the Fairview Nursing Home at the age of 86. His home was on Martin Dr., East Sparta.
Mr. Beans was born in New Cumberland and resided in the area since early childhood. He was a 57 year member of the Junior OAUM of North Industry.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Clara Beans, to whom he had been married 64 years last July, two sons, John C. of Canton and Melvin Beans of Waynesburg; two daughters, Mrs. Ida Tubbs of East Sparta and Mrs. Gladys Johnson of Massillon; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral rites will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Kreighbaum Funeral home with Rev. Richard Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call at the parlors Saturday 2 to 4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a Junior OAUM service Saturday at 8 p.m.
