Funeral services for J. P. Dixon 82, of Galvez, died Monday night at his home after a long illness, were held Wensday at 10 o'clock at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Mr. Dixon is survived by five sons, Dan of New Orleans, Lester of Corpus Christi, Tex. and Seabe, Isaac and Johnnie of Galvez, three daughters, Mrs. P.S. Carpenter, Mrs. Vernon Causey and Miss Hilda Dixon all of Galvez, a brother Ruby of Galvez, 26 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
