Muskegon - Mrs. LaVerne "Nora" Phillips, age 82, died Saturday, February 18, 2006. She was born on April 12, 1923 in Union City, TN to Joe and Cora (Williams) Fields. Nora was widowed twice. Her first husband Glenn Cline died in 1978 and her second husband David Phillips died in 2001. Nora worked as a homemaker her entire life. She was passionate about her faith and involvement in the church and her garden. In her earlier years, she was active in the Moose Lodge.
SURVIVORS: Daughter Peggy Hildebrandt of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a longtime friend and caretaker Kathy Phillips of Muskegon.
SERVICE Wednesday, February 22, 2006, 12:00 noon at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Church officiating. Interment at Egelston Township Cemetery.
