Henry Laabs

Henry Laabs, a lifetime farmer in the Town of Cedarburg died Monday, Mar. 13 at St. Alphonsus Hospital at the age of 90. Mr. Laabs resided at 4418 W. Cedar Creek Rd., Grafton.

He was born Sept. 21, 1887 in the Town of Cedarburg. On Oct. 18, 1911, Mr. Laabs married Ella Just. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 1915. On Feb. 1, 1919, he married Adela Laubenstein, who preceded him in death on July 6, 1968.

Mr. Laabs is survived by three sons, Walter of Grafton, Henry (Marion) of Wauwautosa and Arnold of Cedarburg, one daughter, Edna (Arthur) Winter of Milwaukee and one brother, the Rev. Herman (Marie) Laabs of Mayville. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Laabs will be held Thursday, Mar 16 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton. The Rev. John Suelflow will officiate with burial in St. Paul Cemetery.

Mr. Laabs will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

The Mueller Funeral Home, Grafton is handling the arrangements.
