Ronald Gene Bath,born July 30, 1929 in Independence, MO to Tarranice and Irene Bath, passed away September 19, 2009. Gene graduated in 1947 from Truman High School and moved to Liberal, Kansas where he met future wife, Arlene Kemper at Blacks Drug Store. They were married April 30, 1950. Gene was employed for several years in the oil business as a product manager. He served 27 years in the Kansas National Guard, ranking First Sergeant. Gene served as a minister in the Community of Christ Church for 50 Years. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Arlene, and sister, Virginia Basler. Gene is survived by his sister, Katie Maslany; brother-in-law, Herman Basler; sister-in-law, Verda(Harold) Swagerty; son, Ron (Marsha) Bath; daughters, Denise (David) Hatfield and Robbin Gentry; grandchildren, Forrest (Jeannie) Bath, Jason (Kyra) Hatfield, Tiffany (Robert) Mather, and Eric and Malori McWhorter; great grandchildren, Killian and Nicolas Bath, Dayton Mather, and Skylee Hatfield, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sept. 22 at 2PM at the Community of Christ Church.
