David Madison Heath, named after his grandfather Rev. David M. Heath, was a farmer who never married. He also worked as a carpenter. In 1939 he had two of his unmarried sisters living with him, and the out of wedlock child of Maude Heath named Viva Irene Heath.
One Heath descendant remembers visiting with David and his sister Maude Heath in the 1940’s and she said both he and Maude were quite proud of the Heath church and loved showing the family around. He was living in an old two story house, very well kept, with featherbeds. A neighbor from the area said their house was about two miles from the Heath Church area.
