O.C. Cope, Borger resident for 18 years, died Saturday at 9:50 p.m. in North Plains Hospital. He was 54 years old.
Cope, who lived at 100 South Spruce Street, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Oma Cope; a son Jim Cope of Borger; three sisters, Mrs. Mariba Bray, Cromwell, Oklahoma; Mrs. Pearl Hammer, Gladewater, and Mrs. Oma Bolt, Longview; a brother, Shelby Cope, Tecumseh, Oklahoma and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church with pastor Clifton Tennison and Rev. Hal Upchurch officiating. Interment was to follow in the local cemetery.
