Margaret B. "Peg" Davis died on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002 at the Baptist Retirement Center, Arcadia, LA, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Davis was born in Buffalo, NY, on July 21, 1908 and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Richard B. Lewis and his wife, Mary Jane of Ruston, LA; two grandchildren, Richard B. Lewis Jr. and his wife, Mindy of Austin, TX, and Jonathan F. Lewis of Dallas, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Andrea, Sydney, Bronwyn, and Tucker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence J. and Anna S. Brooks (also buried in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery); her husband of 12 years, Robert K. Lewis of Poughkeepsie; her husband of 13 years, Ernest Chartoire; and her husband of 18 years, Joseph P. Davis of Poughkeepsie. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Presiding will be the Rev. Gilbert McKenzie, First Presbyterian Church.
