Emily was married to Samuel Bonebrake on 16 August 1855 at Marion County, Iowa. They were the parents of 9 children. A son born about 1856 and probably died young, Horace (FAG #11813432), Viola, Etta (Mrs Hugh McCreary FAG#42294488), Martha , Henry, George, Ida(Mrs John Wax) and Charles (FAG#23934577). Emily lived with different children of hers after Samuel died. In 1910 she was living with daughter Ida Bonebrake Wax in Rush Lake Township, Palo Alto County, Iowa. In 1920 she was living with daughter Etta Bonebrake McCreary in Avery Township, Humbolt County, Iowa. When she died in 1921 she was living again with daughter Ida in Pocahantas County.
