Funeral Rites Held Here For Thomas Hudson
By Mrs. Robert Owen
September 12 – Funeral services were conducted here Sunday at 2 p.m. for Thomas Elmo Hudson, who passed away last Thursday at his home in Boyd. Services were in charge of Rev. C. Q. Herndon, former pastor of the church here, and interment followed in the local cemetery. Masonic rites were held at the graveside.
Mr. Hudson spent the greater part of his life here, altho he had not resided here in some thirty or more years. With his frequent visits “back home,” however, he was always thought of as one of our most beloved friends, and his presence on homecoming and other occasions will be greatly missed.
Survivors are his wife, two sons, three daughters and several grandchildren.
