Ellen M. (Whipple) Rains Bernard, 41, of Cumberland passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 21, 2009.
She was the beloved wife of Mark Bernard and the late Marc Rains.
Born in Needham, MA on January 20, 1968, she was the daughter of Herbert S. and Nancy P. (Mitchell) Whipple of Needham, MA.
She was the loving mother of Amanda M. Rains of Framingham, MA, and Lindsey A. Rains of Ashby, MA. She was the loving sister of Herbert W. Whipple and his wife, Cynthia, of Marshfield, MA, Thomas J. Whipple and his wife, Amy, of Colchester, CT, Diane P. Conde and her husband, Patrick, of Townsend, MA, Linda J. Egan and her husband, Thomas, of Medway, MA; she also leaves her aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A resident of Cumberland, formerly of Blackstone and Needham, MA, where she was raised and a graduate of Needham High School Class of 1986. Ellen had worked at NERI in Watertown, MA as a data analyst and formerly was a worthy advisor of the Rainbow Girls in Needham. She will be missed and remain in our hearts forever.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 24 at 6PM at Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 to 6PM prior to funeral service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
