Private family graveside services for Lanita Ann Thorp, 62, of Garber, were held Friday, Nov. 12, 1993, at the Garber Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Krippner officiated with Sisson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She died Monday, Nov. 8, 1993 at her home.
She was born April 14, 1931, the daughter of Horace Dwight and Juanita Stephens Brown at Cordell.
She married Lee LaVaun Thorp, Dec. 19, 1953 at Stillwater. She was a homemaker and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Lee, of Garber; three sons, Michael of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Russell of Edmond and Stephen of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Memorials can be made in her honor to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Hospice or the Garber Lutheran Church toward their stained glass windows project.
