The memorial service for Gloria Jean Williams, 65, of Rochester, formerly of Chatfield, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield, with Rev. Preston Paul officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Gloria died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at the Golden Living Center East in Rochester.
Gloria Jean Baier was born in Chatfield on Dec. 13, 1943, to Herman and Gladys (Yetter) Baier. She graduated from Chatfield High School in 1961. She married Russell Williams on April 16, 1981, in Chatfield. She was a waitress at Darrell's Restaurant in Rochester, and a cashier at the Taco Bell in the subway at the Kahler Hotel.
She lived in Chatfield until they moved to Rochester four years ago.
Gloria was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed word-search puzzles, cooking, TV, eating out, and T.I. chinka chinka.
Survivors include her husband, Russell; a daughter, Kari (Jim) Fallen of Chatfield; and a sister, Maxine Metzger of Chatfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Gloria's family.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the Memorial service at the church at 11 a.m.
