Fred W. Forney, E. Gadsden, Route 8, died at 9:30 p.m. yesterday at the residence after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by one daughter, Miss Dian Forney, Gadsden; one sister, Mrs. Ruby League, Gadsden; three brothers, Frank Forney and Felix Forney, both of Gadsden, Route 8 and Rex Forney, Gadsden.
Mr. Forney was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County and a farmer. He was a member of New Home Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II.
