GREENVILLE, SC - Marshall Wade Scott Sr., 83, of 501 Darlington Road, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville, Mr. Scott was the widower of Myrtle Taylor Scott and the son of the late Edward Christopher and Willie Mauney Scott. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from General Electric. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Mr. Scott is survived by his son, M. Wade "Butch" Scott Jr. and his wife, Joyce, a grandson, M. Wade "Tripp" Scott III and his wife, Carrie, a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Scott, all of Greenville; a brother, Bobby L. Scott of Taylors; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Sue Scott Higgins and two brothers, Raymond and Rufus Scott.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today, Feb. 13, 2006, at Woodlawn Memorial Park with visitation immediately following the service.
