A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of The Resurrection on Thursday at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Police say 38-year-old Annie Petrillo, of Rye Brook, stopped her car on the southbound side of the bridge at 7:50 p.m. and leaped off the mid-span.
Crews from Westchester and Rockland counties searched the Hudson River for Petrillo's body Thursday night, but without success. The recovery operation continued Friday, but the river's swift current has been hampering to divers' efforts.
Petrillo's stepfather, Scott Douglas, also jumped off the Tappan Zee Bridge in 1994 after beating to death her mother at their Bronxville mansion.
