Edith McCoy died Friday at the Medical Lodge in Eureka. She lived most of her life in Greenwood County.
The daughter of Jefferson and Kathryn Cunningham Bohard, Edith Bohard was born Feb. 15, 1908 at Madison. She married J. Nathaniel McCoy on Feb. 10, 1926 and he died Aug. 19, 1955. On Sept. 1, 1962 she married Vaughn E. McCoy, and he died Dec. 1, 1980.
Mrs. McCoy is survived by two sons, Raymond McCoy, of Abilene, Tex., and Daniel McCoy of Benton, LA; six daughters, Gladys Aikman of Garland, Tex., Opal Hoyt of Emporia, Dorothy Guzman of Hacienda Heights, Calif., Frances Smith of Towanda, Winnie Johnson of Reece, and Alice Lamb of Eureka; two stepdaughters, Melvina Phillips of Neosho Rapids and Rachel Tatman of Chanute; three brothers, Walt Bohard, Jack Bohard and Jeff Bohard, all of Santa Maria, Calif., and a sister, Lannie Leonard in Oklahoma.
The funeral service was held this afternoon at Campbell Funeral Home at Eureka and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America and may be sent to the funeral home.
