Maria Rose LoVullo, an artist and teacher in the New Orleans area known for a devotion to public service, died May 31 of stomach cancer. She was 47.
She is survived by her parents, Patrick and Rose Fiorella LoVullo; her husband, Jonathan "Jonno" Frishberg; two children, Colin Frishberg, 16, and Eva Frishberg, 15; and three brothers.
Ms. LoVullo was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on June 24, 1961. She earned a bachelor's degree at the State University of New York College at Purchase and a master's from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
