Eva Mae Harper married Jacob Samuel "Jake" either in Jan 1884 or 30 Sep 1884 in Barnard, Lincoln, KS. Children: Rose Ellen (1885-1909) married Lloyd Garrison Beach; Emma Elizabeth (1888-1919) was a practical nurse & never married; Eva Mae (1890-1947) married Dr. William Elmer Mooney; Josiea Ada "Josie," (1893-1895); Jacob Samuel Merle (1895-1981) married Anna (unknown) and served in the US Navy during WW1 on a submarine chaser off the coast of England; Susan Marguerite "Susie," (1898-1922) who never married & died of Epilepsy; and Ruby Augusta "Jean," (1905-abt 1947), married 1 Pharo Moss, married 2 Joseph Virgil Benjamin.

Jake & Eva & family moved after his father died to a farm west of Barnard in Salt Creek Twp (Milo PO), and lived there until 1917 when they moved into Lincoln.
