Margaret Etta Hendricks
Margaret Etta Hendricks, 100 years old, 1560 17th NE, died Wednesday, May 5.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with the Rev. Victor McCullough officiating. Burial will be in the Hendricks Cemetery by Maxey Funeral Home. The body will lie at the church from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time.
Mrs. Hendricks was born Aug. 20, 1892, in Palestine, a daughter of William Smith and Alice Criss Smith. she attended Palestine schools and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was the Mother of the Church. She was a member of Viola Chapter, Order of Eastern Stars No. 98, American Woodmen.
Surviving are a son, Nelson Wade Hendricks Jr. of Dallas; two daughters, Pauline Wood of Hyattsville, Md. and Edith Jean McAdams of Houston; two sisters, Hattie Mitchell of Lawton, Okla. and Olivett Thomas of Lawton; one brother, Leo Smith of Paris; and several grandchildren.
