He worked 14 years for the Oklahoma State Department of Transportation as a surveyor/inspector. He was a resident of Mustang/Yukon, Oklahoma, area most of his life and was a member of Lakehoma Church of Christ, Mustang, Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer of the home; his mother, Linda Cornwell of Mustang; his father, Max Cornwell of Mead, Oklahoma; three sons, Michael Cornwell of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, Tyler Cornwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Gage Cornwell of the home; two daughters, Holly Edwards of Del City, Oklahoma, and Jessica Cook of the home; a brother, David Cornwell of Mustang; a sister, Jackie Cornwell of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.
