Major League Baseball Player. He was a right-handed pitcher for four teams in eight seasons in the majors. Born Barton Emery Rhoads, he played for the Chicago Cubs (1902), Cleveland Blues (1903 to 1904), St. Louis Cardinals (1903), and finished with the Cleveland Naps (1905 to 1909). Playing in 231 games in his career, he was a starting pitcher in 185 games. He won 97 and lost 82 with an earned run average of 2.61. He struck out 522 batters.
