Mary and her husband Andrew were former owners of 25th Avenue Shoe Service in Gulfport. They were well known in the community. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Long Beach. She had one daughter and several grandchildren. She was well known for making the best seafood gumbo.
She was the daughter of Charles and Bertha Burdeaux of Lyman.
