He was employed as a chemical operator for the DuPont Chambers Works where he retired in 1994 following 37 years service. He also was employed by Mannington Mills for 15 years, Golden Corners Car Wash. He was also a volunteer fire fighter for the Deepwater Fire Company. Ken enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, Phillies, Wrestling and Country music and also playing video Poker on the computer.
Survived by his wife of 50 years Angela Merendino McAllister, children; Ted McAllister and his wife Maria of Atlanta, Ga., Tina McAllister of Pennsville and Kenny McAllister Jr. of Carneys Point, grandchildren Drew of Fla. and Alex of Ga., brothers; Ted McAllister and his wife Margie, Lawrence McAllister and his wife Deanna, Richie McAllister and his wife Jackie, Timmy McAllister and his wife Barbara, Oliver McAllister, David John and his wife Charlene, Danny McAllister and his wife Mickie, Judy Hinkle and her husband Ben, Lois Cauldron and her husband Eddie and Niva Gant and her husband Paul.
Predeceased by sister; Wilma Buckingham, brothers; Donald McAllister and Craddock McAllister, Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wed. Feb. 21 at the LAUGHREY FUNERAL HOME, Pennsville where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be private.
