PORTOCARRERO, Arnold J., 54, of Steubenville, died Saturday, September 26, 2009, in Trinity West ER.
He was born, June 18, 1955, in Steubenville, a son of the late Judith "Judy" Rosati Portocarrero and Henry Portocarrero of Steubenville.
Arnold was a Catholic by faith; was a graduate of SHS Class of 1974; was retired from Weirton Steel Transportation Department with 23 years of service. He was currently employed as a track repairman for the Union Railroad.
Surviving in addition to his father is his wife, Holly Wells Portocarrero whom he married September 7, 2002; one sister, Lisa (Randy) Stacy of Bloomingdale, one stepdaughter, Selena Wells of Steubenville, one nephew, Jeremy Stacy of Carmel, Indiana, one niece, Shanna Pownall of Bloomindale.
Calling hours are Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerald Calovini as celebrant.
There will be a vigil service on Monday at 3:45 p.m.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
