Audrey A. Hiday, 84, of Omak, died at her home on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005. She was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Fredonia, Kansas, to Bert and Maude (DeField) Crawshaw. Audrey was born, raised and completed her schooling in Kansas. In 1938 she married Joe Tinker and came west and had four sons. She worked at the Omak Lumber Mill for 11-plus years. In 1978 she married Glenn Hiday and they resided at the Bridgeport Bar. Audrey enjoyed her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, cousins, and friends.
She is survived by sons, Lawrence Tinker and Lavon Tinker, both of Omak; Merle Tinker of Hood River, Oregon; and Earl Tinker of Tunk Valley, WA.; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Graveside services for Audrey were held Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Friday, Sept. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel in Okanogan. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
