SARAH J. SANDERS
Sarah J. Sanders was born in Cumberland County, Pa., March 29, 1831 and died at her home in Wilson, Feb. 27, 1911, being nearly 80 years old. She lingered about 8 weeks in her last sickness, and fell asleep in Jesus.
She was married to John Sanders January 8, 1850. To this union 9 children were born, three having died leaving six to mourn her departure.
They came to Kansas in the year 1880. Her husband died October 27, 1895.
She was a member of the M. E. Church, supported the church willingly—and was a devoted Christian. She died in the triumphs of the Christian’s life. She would call frequently upon her friends to sing some of the familiar hymns of the church and then she would become happy in God. Her soul went to God Monday night about 10 o’clock. The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church by her pastor Wednesday at 2 o’clock. Interment was made in Wilson Cemetery.
Thus one by one our friends are passing to the better home beyond. Let us be ready.
