Memorial services for Clarence Leon Golden Sr. will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ellison Avenue Methodist Church in El Reno. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday in Rocky Ford, Colo., under direction of Ustick-Donnelson-Johnson Funeral Home.

A Swink, Colo., resident, Mr. Golden died Friday at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colo. He was born April 2, 1939, in Canadian County. He attended Oak School and graduated from El Reno High School in 1957. He served two years in the Army in Colorado Springs. He worked for the Colorado Springs Power Company for about 10 years before he joined the Colorado Highway Patrol, from which he retired in 1989. During his retirement he was a poultry judge for various county fairs in Colorado and helped his son on the farm. He was a member of Rocky Ford Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Clarence Leon Golden Jr. of LaJunta, Colo.; a daughter, Sandra Bean of Charlevoix, Mich.; siblings, Monna Klaus of Yukon, Jerry Golden of El Reno, Jasper Golden of Duncan, Beth Montgomery of Marlow and Van Golden of Stillwater; and four grandchildren.
