Mrs. Annie Cline was born in Noblesville, Indiana to parents Augustus and Rebecca Miller. She married Dr. Cullen Ewing Cline at Wasioja, Dodge County, Minnesota on 23 September 1863. She followed her husband, a Methodist minister, through Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa before settling in Portland, Oregon. They had nine children who survived: Annie, Augustus Lincoln, Wesley Dean, Grace Trenton, Horace Allyn, Frances May, Thomas Downing, Agnes Pace and Ewing Maurice Cline. She was preceded in death by sons Horace and Ewing Cline.
