John T. Long of Jefferson City, dies
John T. Long, age 92, of Jefferson City died February 12, 1968 at Charles E.
Still Hospital.
Mr. Long was a native of Camden County. He was born near Old Linn Creek,
August 8, 1875, the son of John Elliott and Sarah Long. He had resided in
Jefferson City for some 50 years and was retired employee of the Jefferson
City Power and Light Company.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Appie, three sons; Leonard Long of St.
Louis, Everett Long of Kansas City and Charlie Long of Jefferson City, three
daughters; Elfie Martin and Thelma Coughlin of St. Louis, and Ora
Dudenhoeffer of Jefferson City, two brothers; Rev. Lundy Long of Jefferson
City, and Jack Long of Camdenton. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and

great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at Tanner Funeral Home in Jefferson City on
Wednesday, February 14, 1968, with burial in the Hawthorn Memorial Garden.
