BASHOR, Walter Landes Jr. Age 99, was born Nov. 14, 1909 in Trotwood, OH and entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior on Sept. 29, 2009 where he is embraced in celebration with those loved ones that preceded him. Walter was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and his loving wife of 50 years, Glenna Irene (Derringer). He is survived by his daughters Nancy (Joe) Nemanich, and Karen Irene (Bob) Davis; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and many more friends and family. Walter worked as a delivery man at Rike Kumler and eventually retired from Delco Products in 1969. He graduated from Trotwood-Madison in 1926 and attended Christian Life Center. Walter enjoyed gardening, being with family, attending church, bird watching, crossword puzzles, family drives, and shopping for antiques. A celebration of Walter's life will be 10:00 AM Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at the Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Rd Dayton, OH 45414, with Pastor Stan Tharp officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood. The family will receive friends Thursday evening (Tonight) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, TROTWOOD, 110 W. Main St. 45426.
