(FHL 6109219 microfiche 18 of 22) Auguste Caroline Henriette Schröder, age 21, daughter of small farmer, was given consent on 20-Mar-1856 to emigrate from Alt-Ruednitz/Koenigsberg to North America. She waited until 1857 and emigrated with her mother and brothers. Her sister Dorothea Marie Schröder emigrated in 1856 on the ship Elida with a group of 77 persons from Alt-Ruednitz.

MRS. CAROLINE NEWSOME DIED AT ADVANCED AGE
Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Newsome were held at St. Paul’s Church, north of Wells, on Friday, October 17. The services were conducted by Rev. J. Fontana, pastor of the church.
Augusta Caroline Newsome, nee Schroeder, was born September 15, 1832, in Alt-Ruednitz, Provence Brandenburg, Germany. When 24 years old, in the year 1856, she came to this country with her parents and settled in Wisconsin There she was united in marriage to the late Richard Newsome.
Since coming to this community in the year 1864, she and her family were members of St. Paul’s Church. She was in good health though afflicted with blindness for eleven years. She was cheerful through all sorrows and trials which were here allotment in life.
After a short illness she died at the ripe old age of 98 years and 29 days on Tuesday morning, October 14, between the hours of 6 and 7 o’clock.
She is survived by three sons, Frank, Frederick and William at home; three daughters, Anna, at home; Mrs. Jane Monte of St. Paul, Mrs. Martha Hagemeister of Scranton, N.D. and a large circle of relatives and friends.
