married Lafayette Crittenden on February 3, 1876 in Colbert County, AL.
children: John Carol, William Lafayette, Rosa Ellen, Ada Cathren, Richard Oscar, and Cynthia Margaret
Octimie is buried in an unmarked grave in the corner of a family plot in Oakwood. Her son Richard Crittenden is marked and she is buried at his foot and to the right corner. Octimie had a tall tomb marker but it is believed that Richard's last wife had it removed so that she could be buried next to him when she died. However, when that wife died, she was buried elsewhere, but Octimie's tombstone was never returned.
