Services Held Here Sunday for Wayne Hutcherson

Funeral services for Alfred Wayne Hutcherson, 38, a lifelong Memphis citizen and prominent civic leader, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, in the First Baptist Church.

Rev. John W. Bobo, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home.

Wayne Hutcherson was born March 12, 1931, in Memphis. He was a graduate of Memphis High School and was a farmer. A member and trustee of the First Baptist Church, he was a director of the Hall County Farm Bureau, the Hall County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Famer's Home Administration, was a member of the Memphis Volunteer Fire Department and the [unreadable] Club. He passed away at his home Friday morning after a long illness.

Survivors include: his wife, Sue, of 1220 N. 17th St.; daughters, Celia Lyn Hutcherson of Hereford, Carolyn Hutcherson of the home, and Mrs. Janie Fields of Memphis; sons, David and Chris, both of Hereford; mother, Mrs. Ida Hutcherson of Memphis; one granddaughter, Lisa Fields of Memphis; sisters, Mrs. Roy Patton, Jr. of Irving and Mrs. Mickey Montgomery and Mrs. Coy Beckham, both of Memphis; one brother, Rayford of Memphis; an uncle, Edwin Hutcherson of Memphis and a cousin, Bobby Dick Hutcherson of Memphis.

Pall bearers were Morris Davis, Kenneth Dale, Gene Hughs, Orval Phillips, R. B. Phillips, Lloyd [unreadable], J. M. Ferrell, Jr. and John L. Burnett.

Members of the Memphis Volunteer Fire Department were honorary pall bearers.
